graduated in architecture from the politecnico di milano and in anthropology from the university of milan-bicocca, he studied graphic design at the school of visual arts in new york.
he is a consultant for publishing companies, industrial groups and public institutions.
he is an expert in brand and editorial design, exhibition design and visual anthropology. he has designed more than 150 brands for italian and international companies and over 90 exhibition designs for art, design and photography shows in various italian and international cities.
since 1989 he has been active in teaching: he has been visiting professor at northern illinois university (usa) and has given lectures and talks on graphic design at the politecnico di milano, the art institute of chicago, the graham foundation and the italian cultural institute of chicago; he has conducted workshops and courses at the faculty of architecture in palermo, at iuav in venice and in the bachelor in visual communication at supsi in mendrisio (ch).
he has participated in national and international conferences on design education.
since 2004 he has been teaching at the iulm university in milan and directs the master’s degree program in visual communication at ied – istituto europeo di design.
he has curated two exhibitions on the work of one of the great masters of italian graphic design, ag fronzoni, in milan (1992) and in new york (reinhold brown gallery, 1993), and has conceived conferences on the teaching of visual design and on the influence of artificial intelligence in design.
he has published numerous essays on corporate communication, museum exhibition design and social communication.
